The Lord's Supper

We invite you to receive the Lord’s Supper each week.  As Lutherans, we believe, teach, and confess the Real Presence of Christ in the bread and wine, that is, the Lord’s Supper is not merely a memorial feast nor the bread and wine just symbols.  We believe that by receiving the bread and wine, we are partaking of our Lord’s body and blood present in, with, and under the bread and wine.  We also believe that to receive the Lord’s Supper, one must be repentant (truly sorry for one’s sins) and believe that we are receiving the forgiveness of our sins.  If you are not a member of a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and have reservations about what we believe, we ask that you refrain from receiving Holy Communion until Pastor Dornan has had an opportunity to discuss our beliefs with you.  Pastor Dornan regularly holds classes for inquirers.  If you believe the words “given and shed for you,” you are truly worthy to receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ under the sign of bread and wine.  Come and receive!
